Over the last few weeks I have been quietly helping a community news/magazine site get up and running in Chambana, Illunois. The time difference and geographic disparity has made very little difference to the progression of the project, and is perhaps proof once again that remote working works.

Head over to Chambana Moms and take a look; it’s an interesting project started by two professional journalists to provide a local news portal specifically for families.

Deltascheme Website Relaunched

A new incarnation of the Deltascheme website was launched on the web recently after a re-think of their online presence. I helped design, develop and launch the site as a freelance project, and will be continuing on as a consultant to the future development of the site.

Where the company previously had a static magazine style website, the new one is very much more dynamic, covering industry news, developments, and professional opinion – hopefully forming the basis of a marketing platform for the future.

Axispoint Goes Live

March 1, 2009

As part of an on-going project, the first phase of the Axispoint UK website went live recently…

Axispoint UK - www.axispoint.co.uk

The client was looking for a portal style solution through which they could feed information, news, blogs, and gather registrations for events. It’s been a wonderful project to work on so far because it involves so many elements of the web designer skillset – from server configuration, to database administration, graphic design talent, ergonomics, usability, and of course basic XHTML and CSS authoring skill.

If you are a business owner reviewing your online presence, and like what you are seeing take shape at Axispoint, get in touch!

Bettys Organics goes live in San Francisco

February 27, 2009

I recently completed the first stage of an overhaul of the Bettys Organics website in San Francisco.

Bettys Organics - www.bettysorganics.com

The company delivers fresh organic produce throughout the San Francisco bay area, and were looking for a fresh, clean website through which their customers could easily get in touch. Time was a major requirement in the design and development process – moving from first ideas to a live site on the web in 2 days (2 manic days, I might add).

It’s been an interesting project so far, and a great example of what can be achieved in a short space of time. If you are looking to replace your current site, need it done quickly, and want it to look great, then get in touch!
