Listed below are the terms and conditions Beckett Web Design operates under when working on freelance client projects.
Billing
Projects are billed strictly on a “Time and Materials” basis – with payment made in advance to cover time and materials required to progress the project. Projects will not begin until the first payment has been received.
The cost of the project may be broken into a number of regular payments until such time as the project is completed. The schedule and amount of these payments will be agreed with the client.
Invoices are expected to be paid within 7 days – failure to do so may result in work being discontinued until payment is made. If we must retain solicitors to collect our invoices, we will be entitled to reasonable legal fees, court costs, and interest at the maximum rate permitted by law.
Copyright
The client will own the copyright of all created original work delivered to them throughout the the project. Third party derivative works – such as stock photography – will be subject to it’s own terms and conditions which will be communicated on to the client.
Liability
It is the client’s responsibility to check delivered work carefully for accuracy in all respects. Beckett Web Design will not be held liable for any errors or omissions.
While Beckett Web Design will make all reasonable efforts to deliver work within timescales agreed with the client, we will not be subject to any penalties as a result late delivery, or non delivery of work.
Beckett Web Design will take all reasonable precautions to safeguard property and/or information entrusted to us. In the absence of negligence on our part, we will not be responsible for loss, destruction, damage or unauthorized use by others of such property.
Beckett Web Design will not be held responsible in any way for the quality, price, performance or delivery of any third parties involved in a project.
Additional Provisions
The validity and enforceability of this agreement will be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, applicable to agreements entered into and performed in the United Kingdom. This agreement is our entire understanding and may not be modified in any respect except in an executed agreement.
